How do I convert a file?
Tap the Convert tab, then tap "Tap to pick a file" or choose Gallery / Camera / Files. FormiFox shows only the formats that make sense for your file — just pick one and tap Convert. That's it.
What file formats are supported?
On-device (no internet needed):
- Images — JPG, PNG, HEIC, WebP, GIF, TIFF, BMP
- PDF — create, compress, merge, extract pages as images
- Document scanner — scan → crop → PDF
Cloud (internet + sign-in required):
- Word ↔ PDF, Excel ↔ PDF
- Remove Background, Erase Object, OCR — Extract Text
Can I convert multiple files at once?
Yes. Tap Select Multiple on the Convert screen. Free users can batch up to 2 files at a time. Pro users can batch up to 10 files at once.
Does FormiFox work without an internet connection?
Absolutely. All image and PDF conversions in the Convert tab work fully offline. The Tools tab (Remove Background, OCR, etc.) requires internet because processing happens on our servers.
Do I need to create an account?
No account is needed to use the Convert tab. Sign-in (Apple, Google, or email) is only required for cloud Tools and subscriptions. You can use FormiFox for image and PDF conversions forever without ever signing up.
What is a credit?
Credits are only used for cloud operations in the Tools tab. Each tool use costs 2 credits. Free users get 20 credits per month, which resets on the 1st of each month. Pro users get 75 credits and are never blocked even if they run low.
On-device conversions (everything in the Convert tab) are completely free and unlimited — no credits are involved.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Delete Account inside the app. This permanently removes your Firebase account, usage counters, and any cloud-job files. It cannot be undone. You can re-register anytime.
What does Pro include?
Pro removes the limits on everything:
- 75 cloud credits / month (vs 20 free)
- Batch up to 10 files (vs 2 free)
- Files up to 500 MB on-device / 100 MB cloud
- Priority cloud queue — faster results
- No ads
What are the Pro plan prices?
- Pro Monthly — $3.99 / month, auto-renewing
- Pro Yearly — $24.99 / year, auto-renewing (~48% cheaper than monthly)
- Pro — One Month pass — $5.00 one-time, never auto-renews

How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed entirely by the App Store or Google Play — FormiFox cannot cancel them on your behalf.
- iPhone / iPad: Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions → FormiFox → Cancel
- Android: Google Play app → tap your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → FormiFox → Cancel
Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current period.
Can I get a refund?
All purchases are processed by Apple or Google, so refunds are issued by them — not by FormiFox directly.

Are my files private?
Yes. On-device conversions never leave your phone at all. For cloud jobs, your file is uploaded to a private folder (accessible only to your account), converted, returned to you, and then automatically deleted within 24 hours. We never read, analyse, or train on your files.
Does FormiFox track me or show ads?
The free tier may show non-personalised ads. We do not share identifiers with ad networks for cross-app tracking, and we do not show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt because no cross-app tracking occurs. Pro removes all ads. We never sell your data.
What is stored locally on my device?
The last 10 conversions are saved in your app's local storage (Hive database inside the iOS sandbox). This history never leaves your device. You can clear it any time from Settings → Clear Cache.
A conversion failed — what should I do?
Try these steps in order:
- Check your internet connection if it's a cloud conversion.
- Make sure the file isn't password-protected or corrupted.
- Restart the app and try again.
- If the problem persists, email us at info@formifox.com with a brief description and we'll investigate.
My credits aren't resetting — is that normal?
Credits reset on the 1st of each calendar month. If it's already past the 1st and yours haven't updated, pull down to refresh the Tools screen. If they still look wrong, sign out and sign back in. Still stuck? Email info@formifox.com.
The app isn't recognising my Pro subscription
Go to Settings → Restore Purchases inside FormiFox. This re-syncs your subscription status from the App Store / Play Store. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account used when you purchased. If that doesn't work, email info@formifox.com with your purchase receipt.
