Is FormiFox free to use?
Yes — FormiFox is free to download and includes unlimited local conversions (image format changes, PDF merging/splitting, etc.). Cloud-powered Smart Tools like background removal, object eraser, and OCR use credits. You get free credits on sign-up and can subscribe to FormiFox Pro for unlimited access.
Does FormiFox send my files to the internet?
Local conversions run entirely on your iPhone or iPad — your files never leave your device. Only Smart Tools (background removal, object eraser, OCR, Office conversion) upload files to our encrypted servers for processing, then delete them immediately afterward.
How do I convert HEIC photos to JPG on iPhone?
Open FormiFox → tap Image Converter → select your HEIC photo from Photos or Files → choose JPG as the output format → tap Convert. Your JPG is saved instantly, completely on-device, no internet required.
Can FormiFox convert PDF to Word or Excel?
Yes. PDF → Word (.docx) and PDF → Excel (.xlsx) are available through cloud Smart Tools. The converted file is delivered back to your device and deleted from our servers. A small number of credits are used per conversion.
What file formats does FormiFox support?
FormiFox handles images (JPEG, PNG, HEIC, WEBP, GIF, TIFF, BMP), documents (PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX and most Office formats), video (MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV), and audio (MP3, WAV, AAC, FLAC). New formats are added with every update.
Does FormiFox work without internet?
Most features work fully offline — all image conversions, PDF split/merge, and format changes happen on-device. Internet is only needed for cloud Smart Tools: background removal, object eraser, OCR, and Office document conversion.
How do I remove the background from a photo?
Tap Smart Tools on the home screen → select Remove Background → pick your photo. FormiFox sends it to our AI server, removes the background, and returns a clean transparent PNG — usually in under 5 seconds. The result is saved to your Files app.
How do I cancel my FormiFox Pro subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. To cancel: iPhone Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → FormiFox → Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Is FormiFox available on Android?
FormiFox is currently available on iPhone and iPad (iOS 16+). An Android version is on the roadmap — stay tuned for announcements!
What is the file size limit?
Local conversions have no strict size cap beyond your device’s available memory. Cloud Smart Tools accept files up to 50 MB per file, which covers virtually all photos, scanned documents, and typical Office files.
